Itella Russia presented a report on their activity at the press conference held at the Marriott Courtyard Moscow Paveletskaya hotel. The event featured presentations of Itella Russia General Director Nikolay Voinov and Business Development Director Elena Pechnikova. The speakers reported that the company’s turnover in 2014 had remained stable, its growth having reached 0,8 % in rouble terms. Itella Logistics’ global revenue in 2014 totaled up to 1 858,7 million euros, comprised of 1 358,8 million euros gained in Finland and 499,8 million euros – in Russia and other countries. The average utilization rate of the warehouse premises in Moscow and the Moscow Region in 2014 was estimated at 86 %, and 76 % in other regions – which is quite a notable result. The company’s investment into its Russian business this year is anticipated to reach 5 million euros, which is double the amount budgeted in September 2014.

After the speakers had finished their presentations, they were posed questions by journalists of federal and specialized media regarding the current trends of the warehouse and transport logistics market. TransFin-M leasing company held a press breakfast at Hotel Ukraina Moscow. Dmitry Zotov, General Director of PJSC TransFin-M and Vadim Korsakov, Deputy Executive Director of non-state pension fund Blagosostoyanie and board member of PJSC TransFin-M, discussed the current situation in the fundraising market and the aftermath of the sanctions with media representatives. The company’s most prominent news mentioned at the event was issuance of convertible bonds in the equivalent of 10 billion roubles, and a programme of extending their bond portfolio.

A grand opening of a new sorting line was held at DPD's terminal in Saint-Petersburg. General Director of DPD Russia Andrey Mayorov and Sales Director of DPD Russia & CIS Leonid Zondberg spoke about the significance of this project in connection with the constant growth of shipment flow which the company is experiencing in the North-West region (only in 2014 it reached 42%). Now the pass-through capacity of the St Petersburg terminal is to double which will allow reducing the processing and delivery time for shipments.

Opening the new sorting line was part of the company's strategy aimed at developing infrastructure of DPD in Russia. The amounts invested into this ambition grow year-on-year: in 2012 such funds numbered up to 125 million roubles, in 2013 - 149 million roubles. The investments made into the new sorting line have exceeded 1 million euros.

A manufacturing facility for Volvo Trucks and Renault Trucks cabs was opened in Kaluga's industrial cluster of Volvo Group. The attendees of the opening were greeted by the Governor of Kaluga Region Anatoly Artamonov, General Director of Volvo Group Russia Peter Andersson, and Vice President of Volvo Group for Production Olivier Vidal.

The initial planned capacity of the facility reached 15 000 cabs per annum, its premises - 2,96 ha, estimated staff - 350 employees. Investments into the plant's construction have figured up to 90 million euros.

Longmedia communications agency has invited journalists from federal business media to the manufacture. The factory was visited by reporters of Russia-24 and Auto Plus television channels, Vedomosti, The Moscow Times, Novie Izvestiya newspapers, Expert and Za Rulyom journals, ITAR-TASS and Interfax information agencies as well as other media representatives.

The VI Moscow International Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) was held at the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the initiative of the Russian Union of Transport Workers with the official support of the State Duma and the Ministry of Transport. Longmedia Agency - a standing partner of the event since 2010 - provided media coverage of the сongress. The aim of the congress was to establish a common position of the expert community, businesses and public authorities on the modernization of transport infrastructure by extensively introducing ITSs.

It brought together about 200 heads of leading Russian transport and logistics companies, representatives of the scientific community, public authorities, financial institutions and public sector organizations, as well as participants from Austria, Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, the US, Finland, France and South Korea.

FM Logistic Russia presented their report for the past year at the annual press conference which was held at Hotel National. General Director Christophe Menivar and Business Development Director Vladimir Serebryakov spoke about the company's progress on the Russian market.

Revenue growth of FM Logistic for the fiscal year of 2013-2014 surpassed expectations by 2% to reach the total of 50%. The company's turnover came up to 310 million euros, including that of FM Fresh which amounted to 81 million euros. In the first half of the new fiscal year the company has also managed to outtop their targets. Turnover for the period amounted to 156 million euros, which is 53% of the target. Christophe Menivar also pointed out that the second half of the year is even more active, which prompts the assumption of an even greater excess at the end of the financial year 2014-2015.

Storage space increased by 30% and in March 2014 amounted to 520,000 m2. In the near future, FM Logistic plans to open new cross-doсking terminals in Kazan, Ufa and Almaty (Kazakhstan).

The company continues to expand its private vehicle fleet. Today its total number of vehicles reaches 51, comprised of 44 machines of large lifting capacity and 7 light trucks. Over the period that the company's fleet has been in existence investments in its creation and development have run up to 3 million euros. Its staff has increased by 45% to a total of 8,005 employees. Despite the difficult economic circumstances, the company is full of optimism. "Over the past 5 years the business volume of FM Logistic in Russia has tripled, the number of staff – doubled. And we will continue steady growth, while focusing on three areas: regional expansion, increasing the proportion of transport services in our portfolio and developing the fresh-food sector"- said Christophe Menivar. The experts have discussed the situation on the Russian logistics market and have forecasted its further development until the end of the year.

JCB has held a full-scale presentation of its latest models of construction machinery in Roster, Staffordshire. Journalists from a number of countries including Russia have been welcomed into the company’s headquarters and have been invited to take a tour of the Innovation Centre and the heavy machinery manufacturing facility. Participants of the press tour have also visited the Story of JCB Museum which has been established in 1945 and have attended a demonstration of loaders and excavators. The UK programme was concluded with a press conference which allowed the journalists to pose their questions to the top management of the company regarding the state of business in the sector, plans for development in the Russian market. The media were also got the chance to speak to the Lord Bamford DL, current head of JCB and son of its founder. 28 May 2014 DPD in Russia have presented the results of their activity on the cargo delivery market in 2013 at a summary press conference organized in cooperation with Longmedia. DPD in Russia General Director Andrei Majorov spoke about the advances which the company has successfully made: the company’s growth rates have climbed above the market average to reach 20%, sales have surpassed strategic plans by two years, the B2C market share has increased by 90%, and the amounts of cargo processed – by 130%. In 2013 DPD invested 149 million roubles into company development. 25 new offices were opened in cities all across Russia. DPD in Russia have launched their own network of reception and pick-up stations and have organized over 20 regular trucking routes providing road service which connects the regions of the Urals and Siberia with the Far East. This has allowed increasing the speed of delivery on these routes 2-3 times. DPD Commercial Director for Russia and CIS Leonid Zondberg said that in 2014 the company shall continue their line of e-commerce and shall adopt new services. The results of 2014 prompt increase in sales and delivery amounts by 40%. DPD President in Russia and CIS Sergei Kruglov announced a successful start of operations in Crimea: by the end of the year the company forecasts a tenfold increase in deliveries to this region. After the presentations the speakers answered questions posed by the journalists. Reporters of Vedomosti, Interfax, ITAR-TASS, Expert, RZD-Partner, Logistics.ru, and other media have displayed a keen interest towards the event.

A press conference devoted to the construction of the world's largest JCB Technical Centre was held in Solnechnogorsk District's village of Elino. The event was attended by reporters of ITAR-TASS and such journals as the “Expert”, “Construction Equipment and Technologies” (“CTT”), “Special Machinery and Commercial Vehicles”, “Osnovnie Sredstva”, “Oil&Gas Journal Russia”, “Avtospetstehnika”, “Automobilnye Dorogy” as well as other publications invited to the event by Longmedia. JCB Senior Business Manager Sergey Kharitonov and Lonmadi Executive Director Andrey Petrov answered questions posed by the journalists regarding the collaboration between the British manufacturer JCB and ZAO Lonmadi, the competitive advantages of the new facility, and the companies’ contribution to the development of Solnechnogorsk District.
